Popular NFT project Doodles has announced a physical family-centric entertainment store in collaboration with Camp, a shop-and-play company. Located near Lincoln Park in Chicago, the store will feature a play area plus other experiences suitable for kids and adults. Scheduled to open in August, it is among Doodles’ first attempts to uniquely intertwine the physical world with the virtual.
An Emotional Connection Spanning Generations
The store will have a floor area of 6,000 square feet and employ the NFT project’s theme across the store. Doodles revealed that they intend to use the store to grow the project’s ecosystem by “creating a real life emotional connection […] spanning generations.” Among the experiences include an option to create crafts, play games and customize Doodles figures.

According to the NFT project, having a physical location has shifted from being a passive undertaking to a way of nurturing experiential “retail activations,” adding that it allows it to market beyond the confines of web3 in its quest to increase the number of people holding Doodles NFTs.

Apart from offering kids-friendly experiences and merchandise, they’ll also cater to their adult visitors by offering adult-themed events in the evening while the kids enjoy themselves during the day.
Free for Doodles Holders
The entry tickets will retail for $28 but it’ll be free for original Doodles holders. The project disclosed that they’re working on a virtual option to enable interested individuals to access the store “from home.”
Original Doodles collectors will enjoy special access: free entry, merch credits, concierge services & custom creation opportunities
We want every Doodle holder to share in the joy. An opportunity to help shape the experience from home will be revealed soon
Stay tuned!

The announcement comes six months after the project ditched Ethereum for Flow blockchain and four months after shedding its “NFT project” to focus on becoming a media franchise.
Although Doodles’ physical family-friendly store is yet to go live, it’s yet to be seen whether other NFT projects will mimic the move.
