In the P2P Foundation forums on three separate occasions in February 2009, Satoshi Nakamoto presented the Bitcoin white paper and open source codebase to the community. Bitcoin’s first public announcement was made by its inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto, on the P2P Foundation forum on February 11, 2009. Before these occurrences in the month of February, Nakamoto had been using the email system linked to the cryptography mailing list at metzdowd.com.
Cryptographic Evidence Rather Than Trust
The first forum post is intriguing, and the creator even provides a download link for the original version of the programme there. Thirteen years ago in the month of February, Satoshi Nakamoto said, “I’ve developed a new open source P2P e-cash system called Bitcoin.” Everything relies on cryptographic evidence rather than trust, therefore there is no centralized server or reliable third parties.
