Had to 'Hack', This NFT Influencer CryptoPunks Lost $300,000!
"The perpetrator is really cunning, after stealing other people's rights, he continues to sell them."Every individual cannot escape being a victim of a cyber attack, this time the hacker targeted non-fungible token (NFT) influencer, CryptoNovo by transferring two of his CryptoPunks collections to another address.For the record, Cryptonovo has lost around $300,000 when the hacker sold the two CryptoPunk NFTs for 70 Ethereum (ETH) worth $88,434 and 199 ETH for $251,404.However, the NFT CryptoPunk #3706 collection that he is currently selling is reportedly safe from being stolen by the hacker.In the meantime, a Twitter user named Proper believes that the incident is phishing and not hacking.This follows because the individual may use the "transferForm"* function to transfer NFTs from the CryptoNovo wallet when he transfers some tokens into the smart contract.*Transfers tokens from the owner's account to the recipient's accountNot only that, he also warned every individual to be careful of fake accounts on Discord posing as CryptoNovo right after the NFT collection attack happened.Besides CryptoPunk, his other NFT collections that were also hacked were Meebits, CloneX, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) and Bored Ape Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
